Swadeshi Mandi 2020 || NITIE || Poster Creation || Vocal for Local

On the auspicious occasion of 74th Independence Day, the National Institute of Industrial Engineering(NITIE) launched the event named SWADESHI MANDI in association with the Marketing Interest Group under the guidance of Prof T. Prasad.

Swadeshi Mandi is the trademark event of NITIE which gives the students a practical perspective of learning by selling in open markets by applying the theory of consumer behavior and bring in all the management Gyan to empower them.

The mantra of Mahamandi is SOCHO BECHO SEEKHO which translates to THINK, SELL, and LEARN in English.

Since its inception, Mahamandi has been an initiative by NITIE to join hands with NGOs like Navnirmiti and CRY and has been recognized by the Ministry of HRD for value addition to social development. NITIE was also awarded the ‘B-school Innovation Award’ for conceptualizing a truly one of a kind idea. Mahamandi combines the entrepreneurial spirit and practical approach towards learning integrated with a sense of social responsibility. All the profit made out of the event is used for the upliftment and betterment of underprivileged children.

This year's Mahamandi event is aligned with the Indian Prime Minister’s Vocal about Local campaignPlenty of  FMCG brands in these crisis times have improvised their marketing strategy promptly and their sales pitch now focused on ‘Indian and Indigenous’ as big themes. Considering the prevailing conditions, Business Professionals are now more focused on enhancing their digital marketing skills.

So, NITIE also decided to bring a whole new Digital transformation to the Mahamandi event by coming up with the POSTER MAKING campaign as Round 1.

Round 2 is CAMPAIGN VIDEO MAKING in which the selected teams would be required to create an innovative campaign video of their product.

Round 3 consists of DIGITAL PROMOTION OF SWADESHI MANDI in which Swadeshi videos and posters would be uploaded on to their own respective social media handles for maximum reach. After the event, the campaign of videos and posters would be evaluated.

Under the umbrella of this event, Shreyash Mundhra and I bring you to the amazing Metal Crafts from the MoradabadMoradabad is located in the northwestern part of Uttar Pradesh that is a part of the Moradabad Division. Moradabad town is the district headquarters. Moradabad is situated at a distance of 167 km (104 miles) from the national capital, New Delhi, at the bank of River Ram Ganga (a tributary to the Ganga). The city is known worldwide for its huge export of brass handicrafts to North America and Europe and is also thus called "Brass City" or Peetal Nagri (in the local language).

The designs made on the brass products here display culture, heritage, history, and diversity. The patterns and designs used for decorating these items are inspired by a variety of sources, varying from Hindu Gods and Goddesses to paintings of the Mughal Era.

The poster made by us is given below:
